Pre UPSR Techniques Workshops

English Workshop


Last Saturday, we had a talk about how to get A for English and able for us to get good A. The speaker told us the techinques to score in English both papers.

Paper 2
Question 1 - Sentence Construction

  • Look at the picture carefully.
  • Circle the clue of the picture.
  • DO NOT PREDICT!
  • Do not start a sentence with PRONOUNS.
  • Do not only use simple sentences
  • Construct mixture type of sentences such as simple, compound and complex, not only simple sentences.
  • After making the sentences, check spelling and grammar.

Question 2 - Information Transfer

  • Read the question carefully.
  • Make sure have 4 points.
  • Support each point well with good reasons.
  • Construct simple or compound sentences.
  • Check spelling, grammar and puntuation.

Question 3 - Note Expansion

  • Read the question carefully.
  • Circle or underline the clue.
  • Underline the verbs ( action words)
  • Identify the tenses.
  • Do not use mixture of tenses.
  • Plan the story well.
  • Make sure have the introduction, the body and the ending.
  • Write a story at least 4 paragraphs but it is better if have 5 paragraphs.
  • There must be a flow in the story from a paragraph to a paragraph.
  • Use 5 WH and 1 H which is ( What, Why, Which, When, Where and How )
  • Put idioms, adverbs, adjectives, similes, proverbs and idioms to make the story more interesting.
  • Check spelling, grammar and puntuation.

Appreciation and Reflection

While doing this assignment it has given me a chance to use the blog to complete my assignment. Now, I have learnt how to use the blog and posting items. I also learnt how to add image. This assignment also help me to improve my writing in exam.

I would like to thank my parents who helped me while doing this assignment. I would also like to thank my english teacher, Puan Ng who help us to complete our assignments. Once again, I would like to thank my parents and my english teacher for their supporting and helping.

Conflicts and 3 ways to cool down

Conflict happens to everyone but how we handle them can make a very big difference. Sometimes when we are mad, we may say and do things we do not mean. We might regret later it later. Many conflicts can be worked out if both sides try to cooperate. Sharing or taking turns using the thing that you both want is usually the best solution.



3 ways to cool down:-


a) Take a deep breath
b) Listen to music
c) Squeeze a pillow and yell as loud as you can to get your angries out

The person that I think he is cool and the reasons

I think he is cool because he is a loving and caring person. He always help people who is in trouble. He is a person who shares and this can help him to avoid conflicts.

Why I am cool?

Yes, I believe I am cool because I am a responsible person. I am a polite and kind person to my parents, all teachers and friends. I will help my friends who is in trouble in school.



The Meaning of Tolerance

Tolerance means the willingness to accept or tolerate especially opinions or behaviour that you may not agree with or people who are not like you.

The part I like the most

I like the part when his father pretend like a servant to serve his son what he wanted and called his son as "Boss". Then, he realised his mistake and tell "I am sorry" to his father.


From this story, I have learned that we must always be polite to other people. I also have learned that we must not lost our temper easily if not it will hurt other people.
